OUR VISION:

A Nigeria for people, not poverty.

OUR MISSION:

To uplift Southeast Nigeria’s most vulnerable communities by providing support for well-being and skills training.

The economic situation in Nigeria is difficult due to global changes and the country’s internal challenges. Because of these circumstances, the majority of Nigerians struggle to meet their basic needs. Many live in uncertainty, not knowing where their next meal will come from. They experience poverty on multiple dimensions, including lacking access to education, healthcare, employment opportunities, and amenities to support a quality standard of living.

Regardless of who’s in power, one thing is clear: Nigeria must work to alleviate poverty and empower its citizens.

“Surviving poverty in Nigeria,” tells the story of Nigerians living in poverty, their fears, struggles, and survival.

It hurts us to know that so many people have few options to improve their lives. The World Bank says it would take almost 4 trillion naira (about 19 billion dollars) per year to eliminate poverty in Nigeria. We don’t have that type of money, but we are ready to do what we can to help who we can. Each of us has a role in making Nigeria a nation for people, not poverty. Whether in urban cities or rural villages, we must show care for one another through our actions.
